For this project, I created a type specimen book for a typeface. I choose Bodoni because of its elegance and sophistication. Bodoni is a serif typeface that was designed by Giambattista Bodoni, an Italian typographer, type designer, and composer, in Parma, Italy 1798. Bodoni’s inspiration was drawn from the typeface Baskerville, however, Bodoni increased the stroke contrast to a vertical axis. Bodoni typeface is designed with a flat, bracketed serifs, extreme contrast between thick and thin strokes, and an overall geometric construction (Wikipedia).
